The purpose of this demonstration was to showcase the performance of the ICS hydraulic-powered diamond chain saw in heavy-duty concrete cutting applications. The focus was on evaluating its capability for:

• Precise cutting of reinforced concrete.

• Versatility in vertical and horizontal operations.

• Efficiency and portability compared to conventional cutting equipment.

• Suitability for use in confined spaces and sensitive environments.

Equipment Used：

• ICS Hydraulic Chain Saw (Diamond Chain System)

  • Designed for cutting through reinforced concrete, masonry, and natural stone.

  • Provides straight, square cuts with minimal over-cutting.

• Hydraulic Power Pack to drive the saw.

• Diamond Chain for deep penetration and durability.

• Water supply system for blade cooling and dust suppression.

Work Performed：

1. Preparation & Setup

   • Connected the ICS chain saw to the hydraulic power pack and water supply.

   • Prepared reinforced concrete slab as the test specimen.

2. Demonstration Execution

   • Performed vertical and horizontal cuts on the concrete surface.

   • Demonstrated plunge cutting technique, enabling precise openings without over-cutting corners.

   • Showcased ability to cut through concrete with embedded reinforcement smoothly.

3. Performance Evaluation

   • Monitored cutting speed, accuracy, and edge quality.

   • Observed water-assisted cooling system to control dust and slurry.

Outcome & Results：

• High Precision: Achieved clean, straight cuts without the need for patching or correction.

Key Advantages Demonstrated：

• Ability to perform square corner cuts with no over-cutting.

• Reduced secondary works (no need for additional chiseling).
