To set up a laser truss screed, follow these steps:
1. Assemble the screed: Start by assembling the laser truss screed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that all components are securely in place and that the screed is level.
2. Install the laser receiver: Install the laser receiver on the screed, making sure that it is securely in place and that it is properly aligned with the laser level.
3. Mount the laser level: Mount the laser level on a tripod and place it at one end of the area where the concrete will be poured. Ensure that the laser level is level and that it is pointing in the direction of the screed.
4. Adjust the laser level: Adjust the laser level so that the laser beam is level and pointing directly at the laser receiver on the screed.
5. Start the concrete pour: Start pouring the concrete and use the screed to level the surface and distribute the concrete evenly. The laser receiver will pick up the laser beam from the laser level and display the elevation on the screed, allowing you to maintain the proper slope and elevation as you pour the concrete.
6. Check the elevation: Regularly check the elevation readings on the screed and make any necessary adjustments to the screed to maintain the proper slope and elevation.
7. Finish the pour: Continue pouring the concrete until the entire area has been covered, then use the screed to finish leveling the surface.
By following these steps, you can effectively set up and use a laser truss screed to pour concrete with precision and accuracy, resulting in a level and uniform surface.
