Wall Chasing Work Using BAIER Channel Cutter

Wall Chasing Work Using BAIER Channel Cutter

In this project, the BAIER channel cutter was used for wall chasing work to facilitate concealed electrical conduit installation in an interior renovation setting. The task involved making clean, precise grooves in plastered brick and concrete walls to embed electrical conduits.

Execution Process:

  1. Marking & Layout: Walls were marked based on the M&E layout plan to ensure accurate routing for conduit paths.

  2. Wall Chasing: The BAIER wall chaser was used to perform double-blade cutting, creating two parallel cuts in a single pass. The material between the cuts was removed using a chisel for a clean channel finish.

  3. Dust Control: A vacuum system was attached to the machine for continuous dust extraction, keeping the work environment clean.

  4. Post-Cutting Work: Conduits were fixed inside the channels and the wall was later patched and skim-coated for final finishing.

Key Benefits Observed:

  • Fast & Consistent Cutting: Improved work speed and uniform channel depth.

  • Professional Finish: Clean cuts minimized post-work repair.

  • Reduced Dust: Integrated dust extraction ensured minimal mess and better visibility during cutting.

  • Operator Friendly: Ergonomic design allowed comfortable handling during extended operation.

Conclusion:

The BAIER channel cutter delivered precise and efficient performance for wall chasing applications. It significantly reduced labor time and improved the overall quality of concealed wiring installation, making it ideal for professional renovation and electrical works.
