Road Cutting Work Using TC3-E Floor Saw

Road Cutting Work Using TC3-E Floor Saw

Road Cutting Work Using TC3-E Floor Saw

The project involved precise concrete floor sawing within an industrial facility. The cutting work was required to facilitate underground service routing and expansion joint creation as part of the facility renovation and utility upgrade works.

Due to the confined indoor environment and requirement for clean operation, an electric-powered floor saw (TC3-E) was deployed to minimize noise, exhaust fumes, and vibration while maintaining cutting efficiency and depth accuracy.

Scope of Work:
  • Site setup with safety barricades and “Do Not Enter” signs to ensure restricted access.

  • Marking of cutting lines as per drawing and site condition.

  • Execution of cutting using TC3-E machine, operating with blade sizes ranging from 350mm to 500mm.

  • Achieved cutting depth of up to 155mm (6”) across reinforced concrete.

  • Water-assisted cutting method was applied to reduce dust and cool the blade.

Machine Used: TC3-E Floor Saw

  • Power Supply: Electric (3 Phase)

  • Blade Size:350mm – 500mm

  • Max Cutting Depth:155mm (6”)

  • Power Rating:10HP / 7.5KW

  • Cutter Shaft Speed:2000 – 2200 RPM

  • Machine Weight:165KG

  • Advantages: Low-noise, zero emissions, ideal for indoor operation

Safety & Execution Highlights:
  • Operators were fully trained and equipped with complete PPE, including helmet, face shield, ear protection, safety gloves, and steel-toe boots.

  • A safety observer was assigned throughout the operation to monitor surroundings and ensure compliance with on-site safety protocols.

  • Floor saw was operated on level surfaces with continuous supervision and water supply for blade cooling and dust suppression.

  • Electrical cables were securely managed to avoid trip hazards and short circuits.

Outcome:
  • All cutting works were completed safely and within scheduled timeframe.

  • The use of the TC3-E electric cutter ensured minimal disruption to the ongoing indoor activities.

  • The resulting cut lines were straight, clean, and met the engineering tolerances required for follow-up trenching works.
