Concrete Levelling Project-Ultra-Flat Concrete Screeding with CIMAR Truss System
This project involved the casting and ultra-flat levelling of a large industrial concrete slab using the CIMAR “Ultra-Flat Screed” system. The goal was to achieve high surface precision and durability suitable for heavy-duty operations.
Ultra-Flat Concrete Screeding with CIMAR Truss System
The project focused on delivering a high-precision concrete slab for an industrial setting where heavy equipment, fabrication activities, and operational traffic demand an ultra-flat and durable surface. Traditional manual levelling methods often result in inconsistent finishes and surface corrections. To overcome these challenges, the team deployed the CIMAR “Ultra-Flat Screed” system, a modular truss screed equipped with pneumatic vibration control and manual winch operation.
The slab was poured over a reinforced steel framework, followed by vibration-assisted levelling. The screed was moved steadily across the slab using dual winch handles, while the pneumatic system ensured uniform compaction and surface smoothness. The result was a flatness tolerance of FFL ±2mm across large areas, exceeding the performance of conventional levelling techniques.
This method allowed the project to achieve over 400 sqm of ultra-flat screeding in a single shift, with minimal post-pour corrections. The outcome supports long-term structural stability, reduces maintenance needs, and ensures operational efficiency for future usage.
System Deployed: CIMAR “Ultra-Flat Screed”
Configuration Includes:
Modular truss sections (length adjustable)
Pneumatic high-frequency vibration beam
Manual winch system for controlled pulling
Dual end handles for screed height and slope adjustment
Full air control panel for vibration regulation
Execution Process:
Concrete was poured onto a reinforced steel framework.
Vibration was applied through the screed to consolidate and level the surface.
The truss screed was guided manually using winches for smooth, consistent movement.
Continuous checks ensured compliance with the required flatness tolerance.
Key Achievements:
Ultra-flat surface achieved with minimal manual correction
Consistent finish suitable for industrial machinery operation
Efficient site progress: over 400 sqm completed in one session
Enhanced structural integrity and surface life
Conclusion:
By incorporating the CIMAR Ultra-Flat Screed system, the project successfully delivered a high-performance concrete floor with exceptional accuracy, strength, and surface finish — ideal for demanding operational environments such as warehouses, fabrication areas, and industrial platforms.
